Organic skin care is on a rise. There are several firms that have started selling organic products. People’s faith towards organic products has been on a rise. This because of the growing acceptance of products prepared without the use of chemicals. Initially it was organic foods that were popular. People started to look for organic products everywhere as organic foods became popular. Now there are several organic skin care products that you can see in the malls and other stores. The ingredients of these organic products are grown naturally without the addition of any chemicals as mentioned above.

These organic products tend to costly as the production price per unit is high. Organic skincare products cannot be manufactured on a large scale because of the difficulty of sourcing the ingredients required for these products. Large scale production of these ingredients is extremely difficult because of the threat of nature. This is why small production of these ingredients is done. As scale is not achieved, the cost of the products is high which is why they are available at high prices in the market.

There are several firms that sell organic skin care products that provide regular skin care. Most of these are moisturizers and purifying creams. All these firms claim that their products are free of sulphates, paraben and petrochemicals. These firms are continuously striving towards formulating better organic products that provide skin care. One of the most used ingredients is the olive oil. Olive oil was used as a moisturizer by Greeks. It has the unique property of mixing with water. This is a potent combination as this solution penetrates into the skin and cleans the dirt from the inside. When chemicals are removed from the products containing these ingredients, the cream stands a much better chance to allow the skin to function better.

The natural skin care product review was done in 2006. Each product was rated out of ten for its mix of natural ingredients. The tope four skin moisturizers were Mt personal choice, Terressential’s Moisture cream, Burt’s bees complexion oil, nature’s bounty skin cream. The worst skin care was also ranked in terms of which had the most toxic ingredients. These were Jergen’s natural glow skin moisturizer, Rite Aid skin care lotion, Jason Natural moisturizer, Dove face care essential nutrients and Zia natural body gel. These ratings show that even if the companies claim to be natural or organic, you have to check the ingredients to find out how organic they are. Inspite of claims to be organic, these skincare products will be containing some amount of chemicals in them. This does not mean all the products out there are not 100% organic. There are fully organic skincare products available in the market. The first two products in the top 4 rated moisturizers are 100% organic.

The chemicals present in the regular products harm your skin in the long run. They may produce short term results, but in the long run they are detrimental to your skin. If you find the organic products expensive you can prepare your own cosmetics at home. One such website that has instructions on it is http://www.aboutorganic.com. This information is available in the personal care section of organic home. If you still use regular creams, shift to organic as they have the advantage of being natural and not causing any harm on your skin.

You must have noticed how popular organic products have become these days. When anything is labeled as organic it simply means that no chemicals were used during the growth/cultivation of this product. The belief here is that organic products are more healthy and less harmful to our bodies. Hmmm .. if this is the case then why don’t we grow only organic products? The simplest reason is that the use of chemicals helps to manage large-scale cultivation. Whereas in the case of organic production, this is mostly manageable only on a much smaller scale. In a nutshell organic products are made from organic ingredients – fruits, vegetables etc. Lets move on to see how this affects you.

Now, how is all this relevant to your skin care? The question you should be asking and you probably have been is – how do I differentiate between all these various organic skin care products in the cosmetics aisle? If you have ever looked at the labels of these products, you will notice that a lot of names on the back are unpronouceable. This is because some products use organic ingredients in addition to some chemical ingredients. That is the caveat – ‘in addition to’. You have already seen this situation if you have ever shopped for juice before. It’s the same as those bottles of juice which do not indicate that they are “100% fruit juice”.

So, how do you read these labels? If you are going from top to bottom, then you will notice a decrease in the concentrations. Make sure that the ingredients all the way from the top to the bottom make sense to you. If they don’t quickly note them down and do some basic research on the web.

Now, this begs the question – should you buy these?

These skin care products are definitely beneficial for your skin. More than likely the side effects from these will be minimal. There are a variety of products, each with a totally different purpose – some exfoliate, others cleanse, condition, nourish, hydrate and moisturize the skin.

Most people who use these products say that their skin feels fresh and relaxed immediately after use. The added benefits is that these organic products have a nice smell. So, not only are you rejuvenating the skin, but you are also uplifting your spirit and of others around you. It doesn’t get better than this!

Whether it is a tired eyes, wrinkles, insect bites or burns, there are times that things can happen to your skin. With the following organic skin care recipes and tips, you can treat various ailments naturally, leaving behind many of the man made pollutants that are absorbed into our bodies through most over the counter aids.

Insect Bites

Recipe #1: Mix 1 drop of organic almond essential oil and 2 tablespoons baking soda and 4 tablespoons of distilled water to form a paste. Apply to bite and let sit for 20 minutes, rinse with warm water and pat dry

Recipe #2: Mix 8 ounces distilled water with 2 tablespoons Epsom Salt. Apply compress made of a wash cloth soaked this mixture.

Oily Skin/ Acne

Recipe #1: Make a mask of 1/4 organic apple (cored but unpeeled), 1 organic egg white, 1/2 organic lemon (peeled and deseeded), 30 organic Thompson seedless grapes, 4 tablespoons organic watercress (finely chopped). Blend all ingredients on medium for 3 minutes. Apply to face using cotton balls and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Recipe #2: Mix 1/4 cup organic yogurt (plain) with 1 tablespoon brewer’s yeast. The mixture should be runny; if not, add a bit more brewers yeast. Apply to oily zones and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Recipe #3: Mix 1/2 cup organic oat flour, juice from 1/2 organic orange, and 1 teaspoon organic honey. Apply to face and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Scrapes

Recipe #1: This remedy should be made in advance and kept for times when it is needed. First you will need to create 4 special oils. You will need organic extra virgin olive oil, three airtight, glass jars and 4 fresh organic herbs: calendula, plantain, red clover, and St. Johns Wort.

Let the herbs wilt for one day, then put each type in its own jar and cover the herbs with olive oil. Close the jars and leave in direct sunlight for two weeks. Strain oil to use. Once your oils are made, you will need 1/4 cup of each of your special oils and 1 cup organic beeswax.

Melt the oils and beeswax in a large, microwave safe bowl, pour into an airtight, glass jar and let cool. If the mixture is too runny after completely cooling, you need to add a bit more beeswax and melt again, if it is too thick, add a bit more oil and melt again. Apply to wounds when needed much like you would with ready made antibacterial ointments.

Recipe #2:Soak the area with Epsom Salt dissolved in warm water. This is easiest done by taking a warm bath with 2 cups of Epsom Salt in it.

Splinters

Recipe #1: Soak the area with Epsom Salt dissolved in warm water. This is easiest done by taking a warm bath with 2 cups of Epsom Salt in it. Because Epsom Salt draws toxins out of the skin and acts as an anti inflammatory, this bath will draw the splinter to the surface.

Recipe #2: Bandage a thin slice of organic potato over the splinter and let stay overnight. Potato draws things out of the skin and the splinter should be to the surface by morning.

Sunburn Relief

Recipe #1: Mix 5 organic cucumbers (pureed) and 2 1/2 cups powdered milk in a bowl. Pour mixture into tepid/warm bath and soak burned areas for 20 minutes. The mixture can be applied directly to the burned skin, if you prefer.

Recipe #2: Soak the burned area with Epsom Salt dissolved in warm water. This is easiest done by taking a tepid/warm bath with 2 cups of Epsom Salt in it.

Tired Eyes

Grate raw potato and wrap in cheesecloth. Apply to eyelids for 20 minutes, wiping the starchy residue away before applying makeup.

Wrinkles:

Recipe # 1: Cut organic Thompson seedless grapes in half and crush on wrinkles, especially near eyes and mouth. Leave the juice on your face for 20 minutes then rinse with warm water, repeat daily.

Recipe # 2: Mash a very ripe organic banana extremely well, apply to entire face and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

I have often wondered why there is such a shortage of authentically organic skin care creams available. Since so many people have become more health conscious you would think that manufacturing these products would bring the cosmetics companies a lot of money, and they probably would. For some reason though, they continue to resist the call.

People are clamoring for organic skin care creams because they have finally caught on to the fact that the low cost chemical ingredients that the majority of cosmetics companies use to make their products are not only bad for you, but they could also turn out to be deadly. It has been discovered through the years that many of the ingredients still regularly used in cosmetics increase your risk of developing cancer.

One of the reasons that I stress the importance of organic skin care products, especially for women, is because the most widely used family of chemical preservatives in cosmetics were discovered to be in the tumors removed from a variety of breast cancer victims. If you look at the labels of the cosmetics that you have at home and they say that the product contains any of the parabens then throw them out, because it’s just not worth the risk.

There are certain companies that respect their fellow man enough to manufacture wholly organic skin care creams, but the majority of them are companies under the European Union. This means that typically you won’t find a lot of these products available in stores, because they are mainly small to mid-sized companies that prefer to operate as direct shippers.

The best sources of these products are from one of the companies that signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. This is an agreement that states that the company will not include as ingredients anything that is even remotely suspected of possibly causing harm to humans. There is one particular member of this fraternity that stands out.

There is a company in New Zealand that has put together a line of organic skin care creams that will do what no other products in the industry will do. Using specifically chosen natural proteins and extracts these products increase the production of collagen and elastin, and they raise your ebbing levels of hyaluronic acid back up to where it should be.

The inclusion of both Functional Keratin and Phytessence Wakame in their organic skin care products has given this company the most potent formulas in the business, and I would advise anyone who wants to enjoy the appearance of their younger days to give these safe and wonderful products a try. You won’t be disappointed by the results that you get.

These are the only organic skin care creams that can currently be found that within a few short weeks will literally remove years from the way that you appear. For those of you who have waited patiently for an extraordinary breakthrough in cosmetics it has finally come, and you have the good people of New Zealand to thank for it.

You might be asking yourself why the movement towards organic skin care products has been so enforced within the past few years. If you are asking yourself this, you may want to try it. Those who have turned to organic skin care have discovered a refreshing secret that has given them solutions to the many ailments found in today’s world. By applying the organic ingredients, the skin receives the strength and treatment it needs to defend against many attacking and irritating conditions. With strengthened skin, you can be sure to feel a new youth and vigor that is noticeable to your peers.

What can be considered organic? If it isn’t straight from the plant that naturally produces the ingredient, it cannot be organic. Even the plant itself must be grown in an environment that has not been chemically influenced. This is to avoid the taint of human interference in the growth of the plant. Any organic ingredient cannot contain debilitating substances. Chemicals, petroleum and other by-products are some such substances. Organic ingredients are considered pure without human engineering involved in the growth of the plant.

Without the involvement of bioengineering or chemical influence, these ingredients are safe to apply to the skin. There is no harmful substance that will penetrate the skin, and you will notice the change. The recuperating process that the skin does so well will be enhanced to its greatest potential.

The consequences of using products that contain either bioengineered or even entirely synthetic ingredients can eventually be detrimental to the skin. Applications that ought to help improve your skin will eventually come to harm you after a period of time. The chemicals will enter the body and can alter your bodily systems. Using synthesized products may harm your body’s ability to fight illness or give adequate oxygen to all parts of the body.

Now if we track the process of acquiring the ingredients, we find that only the highest of quality is used in these products. From all parts of the world, diverse cultures have gradually joined in helping supply these materials. Since the focus is not mass production, each farmer and caretaker is graceful in its nurturing of the plants that will be used. It is for this reason that the ingredients are hard to come by at this point in time. Lack of cooperation from farming communities has made large production of organic substances impossible at this time.

While the organic market is growing rapidly, it maintains its standards of quality, and each product guarantees the satisfaction of its users. The use of organic care materials will continue to enhance your lifestyle, and give you another reason to smile.
